HL Deb 11 March 1980 vol 406 cc1062-3WA
Baroness DAVID

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will set out in a table similar to that published in House ol Commons Hansard for 4th February 1980 (col. 82) the number of places offered by schools and accepted by the Secretary of State for his assisted places scheme.

Baroness YOUNG

The letter which the Department of Education and Science sent to schools on 6th December invited them to indicate an interest in the scheme on a provisional basis only. No places will be accepted for the scheme until after the receipt of formal applications, which have not yet been invited.
