§ Dr. VaughanMembers of the professional secretariat of the Committee on Safety of Medicines (CSM) meet on a regular basis representatives of drug regulatory authorities of the other member States of the EEC (about once every two months), of the United States and Canada (twice yearly) and of Scandinavia (annually). They also take part in various meetings on drug regulatory affairs arranged by the World Health Organisation. CSM occasionally itself holds international conferences to consider particular problems.
