asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what was the total number of indictable offences originating in each of the past four years in each Royal Ulster Constabulary division; and what was the number of such offences cleared in the same period in each division.

many drivers of motor vehicles and how many passengers were killed as a result of road accidents during each of the past five years; and what were the main causes of the accidents.

The main causes of these fatalities were driving at an excessive speed having regard to road conditions, entering a major road without due care, inattentiveness, being under the influence of drink or drugs, and turning right without due care.

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many motor cycles and how many pillion passengers were killed as the result of accidents during each of the past five years; and what were the main causes of the accidents.

The main causes of these fatalities and injuries were failure to take proper notice of traffic while crossing the carriageway, walking or running out into the road from behind a vehicle or other object, being under the influence of drink or drugs, and lack of adequate supervision.
