"THE ARTS ARE YOUR BUSINESS"

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster how many copies of the booklet "The Arts Are Your Business" have been distributed; and what criteria are being used to decide which companies should receive a copy.

18,000 copies of the booklet have been distributed so far. Of these, 14,000 have been sent to those companies and organisations subscribing to British Business, the weekly magazine of the Department of Trade and Industry. A further 3,500 have been distributed with the Arts Council bulletin, and the remainder to the press.

Over the next few months it is intended to distribute further copies through regional arts associations, professional and trade associations and employers organisations.
