§ Mr. HayhoeThere are about 630 vacant Ministry of Defence houses in the parliamentary constituency of Chippenham, representing 30 per cent. of the houses held in that area. We plan to dispose of half of them this year and more later, as the surplus quarters are identified. Not all vacant married quarters are surplus; some are awaiting repair or modernisation or are held against future requirements.
