§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) how many part-time women workers there were at the latest convenient date, and what percentage of these earned (a) under £1 an hour, (b) between £1 and £1.50 an hour and (c) over £1.50 an hour; and if he will give similar figures for part-time male workers ;
(2) how many part-time women workers are not included in Government statistics because their weekly pay is too low; and if he will give similar estimates for part-time male workers.
§ Mr. Jim Lester[pursuant to his reply, 13 June 1980, c. 250]: It is estimated from the census of employment that there were 681,000 part-time male workers and 3,617,000 part-time female workers in June 1977 in Great Britain.
