The latest estimates available relate to 1977, when the expectation of life at birth for males and females in Wales was 69 years and 74.9 years respectively.

Estimates were not produced separately for Wales before 1971. The expectation of life at birth for males and females in Wales in that year was 68.1 years and 74.5 years respectively.
