§ 59. Mr. James Johnsonasked the Lord Privy Seal what amount of aid is given to Ethiopia ; and for what specific purposes and projects the money has been given.
§ Mr. Neil MartenOur bilateral aid programme for Ethiopia has never been large, and now reflects simply the fulfilment of commitments made by the previous Administration. In 1980–81 we expect continuing awards for Ethiopian trainees in the United Kingdom, two British experts in Ethopia and an administration building for the Ethiopian water resources authority to cost about £200,000.
