§ Mr. Rentonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will revise, as far as water services charges are concerned, the system of equalisation which results in areas with higher rateable values being severely penalised.
§ Mr. FoxEqualisation of charges within water authority areas is a matter for each water authority to decide within the limits of existing legislation. We have no proposals to change the law.
