asked the Secretary of State for Employment what plans he has to reduce unemployment among young school leavers on Merseyside ; and if he will make a statement.

asked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) if he will make a statement on the trend in unemployment among school leavers since 1975;

(2) what is the present number of school leavers registered as unemployed ; and what percentage of this total are female.
