§ Q15. Mr. Lathamasked the Prime Minister whether she will make a statement on the attempts by Her Majesty's Government, in concert with other European nations, to bring about progress in resolving the dispute between Israel and neighbouring Arab States over the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
§ The Prime Minister: The European Council, in a statement on 28 April, restated its belief that only a comprehensive settlement can bring peace to the Middle East, and instructed the Foreign Ministers of the Nine to report to the Council in June on the problem.
