HL Deb 09 June 1980 vol 410 c157WA
The Earl of SELKIRK

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How far the Folkstone-Honiton road has been completed and what further stretches are now under construction or being prepared for construction.

Lord MOWBRAY and STOURTON

During recent years several stretches of the road from Folkstone to Honiton have been improved. In particular most of the M.27 between Southampton and Portsmouth has been completed and improvements have been made to the A.27 between Portsmouth and Brighton. The White PaperPolicy for Roads: England 1980, published last week, lists four schemes under construction, and preparation of 11 other schemes on the A.27, M.27, A.31 and A.35 between Folkstone and Honiton is going ahead.
