§ Mr. Altonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many council tenants in Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Nottingham, Leicester and Preston pay their rent direct through his Department; and how many other tenants in receipt of his Department's supplementary benefits are in rent arrears and do not have their rent paid direct.
