HC Deb 02 June 1980 vol 985 c581W
Mr. Alton

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many trees have been planted by the Liverpool inner city partnership committee; what has been the cost; who is responsible for their care and maintenance; and how many of the trees planted are currently estimated to be alive.

Mr. Heseltine

These detailed matters are primarily the concern of the local authorities involved in the Liverpool partnership, which are responsible for the contractual arrangements for carrying out schemes, including tree-planting, approved by the partnership committee.
