§ Mr. TebbitNo definitive statement of the cause of the Dan-Air Boeing 727 accident at Tenerife can be made until the investigation is complete. An accident investigation team from my Department is expected to meet the Spanish commission of investigation in Madrid, commencing on 3 June, and the Secretary of State will consider making a further interim statement in the light of the outcome of those meetings.
