HC Deb 31 July 1980 vol 989 c790W
27. Mr. Shersby

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what discussions have taken place recently between his Department and representatives of the Hillingdon borough council concerning the flying of model aircraft at Hillingdon House Farm; whether he is now able to approve the council's draft byelaw; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Raison

A meeting to discuss the council's proposed ban on the flying of all power-driven model aircraft at Hillingdon House Farm in the light of objections from the Society of Model Aeronautical Engineers was held at the Department on 15 July. The meeting did not lead to agreement, but I have offered to discuss the problem with my hon. Friend.
