HC Deb 28 July 1980 vol 989 c539W
Mr. Teddy Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment, in view of the doubts which have arisen as to whether water and sewerage charges fall to be levied in the case of premises where water supplies and toilet facilities do not exist, and of the implications of the case of the Essex Water Company v. Parisio, which came before the Southend county court on 4 July, if he will take steps to review the law relating to the circumstances in which water and sewerage rates are payable.

Mr. Fox

I understand that this case, which concerns sewerage charges, has been set down for a further hearing on 21 August. The matter is therefore still sub judice and consequently it is too early to comment.
