§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeI am sorry that it is taking longer than expected to complete our response to public consultation. Although this scheme is one on which preparation work is to be temporarily suspended, I realise the importance of announcing a preferred route so as to dispel uncertainty. I hope to be able to do so during the autumn.
