Mr. Flannery

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will list those independent schools which have indicated a desire to take part in the assisted places scheme, grouping these schools by local authority area and showing the number of boys' and girls' places each school is to provide.

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if, pursuant to his answer of 14 July, he will list in the Official Report the 262 private schools which have applied for inclusion in the assisted places scheme; and, of those schools, which will offer places to girls; how many places will be offered; and which have offered places only in their sixth form.
