§ Sir Ian GilmourOn 22 July the Foreign Affairs Council resolved the main outstanding points on the financial mechanism amending regulation. It was agreed that the regulation would cover 1980 and 1981 in the first instance and would apply to 1982 if a decision is taken, in accordance with the 667W agreement of 30 May 1980, that a solution along the lines of 1980–81 is necessary in 1982.
