§ Mr. Gordon Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the total housing stock of the Scottish Special Housing Association; how many houses 636W deployed in costal waters off the East coast of Scotland and one Island class vessel is deployed in the northern North Sea. Details of the vessels presently assigned to these waters are as follows:
have been built in the past five years; how many are older stock that has been modernised in the past 10 years; how many the Scottish Special Housing Association has earmarked for modernisation programmes; what is the size and cost of current programmes of modernisation: and what is the size and cost of programmes postponed because of Government reductions in capital expenditure.

Expenditure on modernisation currently programmed for 1980–81 is £14.4 million in respect of 1,569 houses. This is £6.3 million and 863 houses less than proposed in the association's original estimates for that year.
