Mr. Jim Lester

The number of employees in employment in Great Britain at June 1977, the latest date for which estimates of the number of full-time and part-time employees are available, was 22,126,000 of whom 17,828,000 were in full-time employment. The provisional number of employees at December 1979 was 22,277,000.
