§ Mr. TebbitIn the period from 1969 to 1979 inclusive, there have been four accidents to United Kingdom-registered fixed-wing aircraft operating non-scheduled flights to and from aerodromes serving at terminals for offshore installations. In one of these accidents 15 passengers and two crew were killed, two passengers seriously injured and 27 passengers with one crew member uninjured. In the other three accidents there were no injuries. Many of the passengers on these flights are likely to have been in transit to or from offshore installations, but information is not readily available on the reasons for which passengers travel. During the same period there were no accidents to United Kingdom-registered aircraft operating scheduled services to such transit terminals.
