HL Deb 15 July 1980 vol 411 c1764WA
Baroness WOOTTON of ABINGER

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether a man who has sexual intercourse with his adopted daughter is guilty of the crime of incest; and if so, how many, if any, persons have been prosecuted for incest in such circumstances in the past five years, and what sentences were imposed on those found guilty.

Lord BELSTEAD

I understand that such conduct would not be incest; it might, depending on the girl's age, be another offence.
