§ The Prime MinisterIt is the Government's policy to seek ways of using public purchasing more effectively to enhance the competitiveness of British industry. Government Departments have a good record of buying from British sources wherever possible, and obtain over 90 per cent. of their requirements from them. Industry must respond by producing the goods required competitively.
