asked the Secretary of State for Industry (1) what estimate he has made of the additional costs likely to be incurred in the administration and provision of catering services in the Post Office arising from the separation of postal service operations from telecommunications.

(2) what estimate he has made of the additional costs likely to be incurred in the administration and provision of health and safety at work facilities, in the Post Office arising from the separation of postal services operations from telecommunications;

(3) what estimate he has made of the additional costs likely to be incurred in the administration and provision of welfare services in the Post Office, namely the increase in the number of welfare officers, arising from the separation of postal service operations from telecommunications.

None. This is a matter for the Post Office. Any such costs will be offset by the general benefits of the separation.
