§ Mr. Heddleasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his Department has received any representations seeking an amendment to the British Nationality Act 1948 to enable Crown service to confer automatic citizenship of the United Kingdom and colonies; and whether it is his intention to amend the Act in that respect.
