asked the Prime Minister if she will make a statement about the future of Chevening House.

The Prime Minister

His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales was nominated as the resident of Chevening House in May 1974. He has informed me that he does not wish to continue his occupancy, and I have accordingly, at his request, revoked his nomination.

I will consider the future of the house and estate within the terms of the Chevening, Estate Act 1959.
