§ Mr. George Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list all the police forces in England and Wales other than the normal police force, stating, in each case, the police authority for that force; and whether and when it last produced an annual report.
§ Mr. BrittanI take it that the hon. Member has in mind police forces other than the Metropolitan Police, the City of London police and the forces maintained 509W under the Police Act 1964. The provisions of the 1964 Act relating to police authorities and annual reports do not apply to these forces and I have no ministerial responsibilities for them. The larger of these forces are:
- Ministry of Defence Police
- British Transport Police
- Atomic Energy Authority Constabulary
- Port of London Authority Police
- Port of Liverpool Police
- Royal Parks Constabulary (England)
- Manchester Dock Police
- Port of Bristol Police
- Dover Harbour Board Police.
