§ Mr. Michael Brownasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will introduce legislation to repeal the section in the Royal Parks Act which prevents London cab drivers from carrying advertisements on the outside of their cabs.
§ Mr. MonroNo. My right hon. Friend does not intend to amend the Royal and other parks and gardens regulations in such a way as to allow advertising in the Royal Parks. Irrespective of these regulations, the public carriage office of the Metropolitan Police is responsible for the conditions under which taxi-cabs operate in London.
