§ Mr. Campbell-Savoursasked the Secretary of State for Trade what progress is being made in the application by the British Pencil Manufacturers Association for restrictions on the importation of pencils from Eastern Europe and the Far East.
§ Mr. ParkinsonThe British Pencil Manufacturers Association, with the assistance of this Department's antidumping unit, is currently preparing an anti-dumping complaint against pencils imported from Eastern Europe. As soon as this is ready, it will be submitted to the European Commission for appropriate action.
