Mr. Hooley

asked the Minister for the Civil Service what is the reason for the long delay in publishing the weekly index to the Official Report; and what steps are being taken to speed up the process.

The delays occurring in the publication of the weekly index to theOfficial Report are attributable to shortage of staff in the origination areas at St. Stephen's Parliamentary Press and the continuing pressures of urgent parliamentary work. A recruitment campaign is in being with the object of regaining and maintaining realistic publication schedules.
