HC Deb 22 February 1980 vol 979 c386W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what steps he has taken to limit the imported volume of textile fabrics that are laminated, coated or covered with polyvinyl chloride, following representations by the Leather Cloth and Coated Fabrics Manufacturers' Association to Her Majesty's Government.

Mr. Parkinson

These representations, which were made to Her Majesty's Customs and Excise, concerned the administration of tariff quotas and did not seek quantitative restrictions.
