§ Miss Richardsonasked the Secretary of State for Defence what the shortest anticipated time is between the detection of a nuclear missile attack from the Soviet Union and the arrival of these missiles upon likely targets in the United Kingdom, given that this attack formed part of an offensive against both the United States of America and the United Kingdom and the missiles were launched from the most favourable base and at a trajectory most favourable to the earliest possible impact upon the United Kingdom.
