§ Mr. WhitelawThe reasons for its limited availability to date are given in the Home Office circular ES 9/76 lodged with the booklet. A total of 2,250 copies of the booklet were printed; most of these were distributed to Government Departments, local authorities, chief constables and chief fire officers. The question of making the booklet more widely854W available is one of the matters being examined in the current review of home defence arrangements.
