§ 51. Mr. Temple-Morrisasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he is satisfied with the prospects for the dessert apple sector of the United Kingdom horticulture industry.
§ Mr. WigginI am conscious of the difficulties encountered by our apple growers when the market is over supplied. Nevertheless, we can produce dessert apples which are second to none; and, if the industry intensifies its efforts to grow and market top quality fruit—as the most progressive are already doing—I am confident that future prospects are good.
