§ Mr. Marlowasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will seek to ensure that contracts placed by public bodies do not include terms which insist on the employment of unionised labour.
§ Mr. Lawson[pursuant to his reply, 4 February 1980, Vol. 978, c. 40–41]: Provisions of this kind are not included in contracts placed by Government Departments. As far as I am aware, the same is true of local and health authorities and nationalised industries.
