asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what newspapers are produced by his Department; what is their function; how many people they employ; to whom they are distributed, and what is the total cost to public funds per annum.

On the assumption that my hon. Friend does not mean an internal staff journal, the answer is the Department does not produce any newspapers.
