asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the prosecutions instituted under the various river pollution Acts during each year from 1976 to 1979.

The number of persons proceeded against in England and Wales under the Rivers (Prevention of Pollution) Acts 1951 and 1961 and in Scotland under the equivalent Acts is as follows:

allocations to partnership and programme authorities should also cover projects—including industrial and commercial ones—in their outer areas; again, no special allocation is made for the Act. A further £4 million will be available to support industrial and commercial projects in the other 14 designated districts.

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the amount of money which has been made available under the Inner Urban Areas Act for manufacturing industry and servicing industry in the following cities for the latest available year: Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Bradford, Newcastle, Huddersfield, Halifax, Doncaster. Southampton, London, Preston, Carlisle, Leicester, Derby and Nottingham.
