Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what in his estimate of the saving of resources which would be achieved if the Brent and Harrow area health authority is closed in 1982; what is the rental agreement for Signal House and to what use this accommodation will be put if taken over by the National Health Service; what would be the annual saving in the costs apportioned for computer services: and if he will make a statement.

Estimates of savings in particular areas arising from restructuring and new managements will not be available before consultation on "Patients First" is completed. The rental agreement for Signal House is the responsibility of the Brent and Harrow area health authority, from which the hon. Member may like to seek information direct.
