Mr. Cartwright

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what is his estimate of the number of public sector dwellings insulated under the scheme announced in December 1977 during each of the years 1978–79 and 1979–80; what was the estimated cost; and what is his forecast of the number of dwellings likely to be insulated during 1980–81 and the cost involved;

(2) what is his estimate of the number of homes insulated under the Homes Insulation Act during the years 1978–79 and 1979–80; what was the estimated cost; what is his forecast of the number of grants likely to be paid during 1980–81; and at what cost.
