§ Mr. Lawson[pursuant to his reply, 16 December 1980]: It is planned that contributions for contracts under the new limit will be accepted in March 1981 for contracts to commence 1 April 1981. As stated when the announcement was made in September, the starting date is dependent on staff availability in the savings certificate and SAYE office, which is currently fully occupied in handling the four—th (share option linked)—SAYE issue and the second issue of index-linked national savings, and a formal announcement of the date will be made in the new year.
