asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he intends to lift the moratorium on house building work by local authorities.

41. Mr. Frank Allaun

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, in view of the returns from local authorities, he will now end his moratorium on council house building, home loans and improvement grants.

42. Mr. Joseph Dean

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when, in the light of the latest information available, he proposes to end the moratorium on new council house building contracts.
