§ Mr. BrittanAs a result of Operation Countryman, which began in August 1978, six police officers have so far been charged with criminal offences. Up to 30 June this year the total cost of the operation was of the order of £2 million. It is not possible to predict when the investigations will be completed. We have no plans to publish a report.
