§ 52. Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he now expects the cut in the real value of invalidity benefit to be restored.
§ Mr. PrenticeMy right hon. Friend assured the House on 29 April—[Vol. 983, c. 1131–32]—that the rate of invalidity benefit would be realigned with that of retirement pension when incapacity benefits are brought into taxation, subject to resources being available. The question of taxation of the incapacity benefits is still under consideration.
