§ Mr. Marksasked the Minister of Transport what requirements he has laid down to metropolitan counties as to the allocation of transport supplementary grant in their areas between partnership, programme and other metropolitan districts.
§ Mr. FowlerI am sympathetic to the problem of inner areas and encourage counties which give high priority to transport projects in these areas. But I have laid down no such requirements. TSG is a block grant and it is for each county to decide how its grant is used.
