§ Mr. Harold Walkerasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will list the organisations and individuals who have made representations to him about the level of excise duty on oil products in the United Kingdom compared with the lower levels within the European Economic Community.
§ Mr. GrayI have received many representations on this subject from trade associations, chambers of commerce, companies and individuals. Among major organisations which have suggested a reduction in the level of duty are the CBI, the Chemical Industries Association, the British Independent Steel Producers Association, the British Paper and Board Industry Federation and the British Textile Employers Federation. A full list of organisations and individuals could only be supplied at disproportionate cost.
