§ Mr. TebbitMy Department informs itself of the facilities provided by the British Airports Authority for disabled people in order to participate in the work of the International Civil Aviation Organisation. The authority takes great care in the planning of airports to cater for disabled passengers, for example, by the provision of ramps, lifts and suitable lavatories. It also issues leaflets explaining all the facilities which are available for the disabled at its airports. Special arrangements would not normally be made for elderly passengers who had no disability. If the hon. Member has a particular matter in mind I should be grateful if he would write to me or to the chairman of the authority.
