What was the cost of compiling the statistics published in paragraph 22 of the White Paper Cmnd. 7873 showing the percentage of heroin and cocaine seized by Her Majesty's Customs and Excise in 1978 in respect of which interception of communications led to the seizure or played a substantial part, and what is their estimate of the cost of compiling similar statistics for seizures of cannabis in the same year.
§ The MINISTER of STATE, TREASURY (Lord Cockfield)There are no figures immediately available as to the cost of compiling any statistics in respect of drug seizures made by Her Majesty's Customs and Excise and to produce them would involve unacceptable additional costs.
