§ Mr. Onslowasked the right hon. Member for Middlesbrough, as representing the House of Commons Commission, what economies in the administrative cost of the House of Commons have been achieved since May 1979.
§ Mr. Arthur BottomleyNone. The House has made a number of decisions, including the setting up of new Select Committees and new arrangements for Members' allowances and so on, which have inevitably led to increases.
